The cottage is fully furnished ready for your cosy stay. The loungeroom has a comfy lounge that can convert to a queen sofa bed, with a TV connected to a Blu-ray/DVD player and a gas heater. Outside we have a fire pit with seating & wood provided so you can enjoy a fire and maybe toast some marshmallows.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all crockery and cutlery. Included is a small selection of tea & coffee, oil, salt & pepper. If you need extra condiments or spices please ask us as we are sure to have them up at the main house. A fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle & toaster, single drawer dishwasher and an electric cooktop (no oven). There is a Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine and milk frother. We will supply a small number of pods, so if you like to indulge in your daily coffee we suggest you bring more of your own flavour selections – Nespresso Website You will need to bring all your own food and drinks with you. Chat to us if you would like us to provide breakfast or lunch/cheese & nibbles hampers, or for a local dining suggestion in town.
We provide all the linen for the queen size bed including extra blankets for those cooler nights. Pillows are provided but feel free to bring your own pillow from home. We know a good sleep is important!. The bathroom has a shower (no bath) and is provided with Egyptian cotton towels. A small number of toiletries is provided, however we recommend that you bring your own for personal comfort. There is a hair-dyer and small straightener if needed. An iron & ironing board are in the cottage, however there is no laundry. There is a laundromat in nearby Kandos and a 24hour one in Mudgee.
Don’t forget that we are only on tank water and we ask that you consider your water usage whilst staying.
Additionally there is a BBQ provided and you are welcome to use our pavilion in the dam paddock nearby the cottage. This is a superb spot to enjoy an afternoon drink and nibbles. In Summer you may wish to bring your swimmers and use our 10 metre above ground pool or for the more adventurous you can try one of the three dams or creek.
Pets are welcome to stay, however they are not allowed on the furniture. If you are unable to recall your dog we ask that you keep it on a leash when walking around the farm to avoid injury to your pet or stress to our livestock. Especially the alpacas who instinctively protect their flock from wild dogs and foxes, and we would not like to see your precious family pet hurt. The cottage is fully fenced. We provide a water and food bowl and a raised bed frame, we suggest that you bring your dog’s favourite blanket/bed from home.
Make sure to bring your walking shoes, hats and warm clothes for stays in late Autumn through Winter. It can get very cold overnight in Winter. Weather Averages
Remember this is a small working farm, so don’t bring shoes that are precious if you plan to walk through paddocks or the bush!
